About us

Founded in 1882, the Townsville Chamber is an a-political and financially autonomous organisation.  While we work collaboratively will all levels of government, with other representative bodies, as well as the private and public sectors, the Chamber’s greatest asset is its independence.  It allows us to advocate on a range of issues to advance the interest of our members in regional opportunities and community affairs.

As the voice of local business and industry for the past 130 years, our purpose is to “make business connections”. We serve 10,000 local workers employed by our 500 members.
