The strategic decisions taken by the Chamber Executive during 2010 are coming to fruition in 2011. You will see several changes starting this month, including

A new website to better showcase the Chamber and better serve our members, with information just for members in a login section and a members’ discussion page where you can ask questions or post comments for the Executive and other members.

A new online event booking service, to register your RSVPs, pay for events, receive event reminders and update your electronic calendar.

A new calendar of events which includes free monthly educational and networking opportunities on topics of interest to small businesses; a Speakers Series featuring speakers of international calibre; monthly networking opportunities for young business people; as well as an extensive list of what else is happening in the Townsville business calendar. 

Improved opportunities for members to promote their business, either on our website, with our electronic promotion service or through sponsorship opportunities with the Chamber.

2011 will be an exciting year for the Chamber and for Chamber members. In the current economic climate, it is more important than ever for the Chamber to support its members, and for members to make the most of networking and promotion opportunities on offer. 

In the coming weeks, the Chamber will distribute its annual Members Survey to assess the needs of our members.  Last year’s Survey was the catalyst for changes currently taking place.  We look forward to your feedback once again.
