The Education Series provides members with a 30 minute presentation by a local expert on a topic of interest to small businesses and relative to the business calendar. The event encourages networking in a relaxed after-hour setting. The Education Series takes place every third Tuesday of the month at Rydges Southbank on Palmer Street, from 5.30pm to 7pm. Entry is free to members and non-members.
The Speakers Series presents high quality speakers over a breakfast or luncheon setting. Speakers cover broader business topics impacting or benefiting most businesses. Times, venues and pricing vary with each event. Members receive a discounted price.
The Chamber hosts three annual events, including two social events: The Young Chamber Business Awards in June, a gala event recognising the best and brightest young professionals Townsville has to offer; and the Golf Day in August, a social round of ambrose golf. Members are invited to the Chamber Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October, over lunch and presentation by a distinguished guest speaker.
The Young Chamber hosts networking events for young professionals to develop their own professional networks. The free events are held monthly at varied venues and are opened to members and non-members.
