North Queensland Study into Water Damage from Cyclones

19 December, 2018, Posted By Townsville Chamber

Suncorp has worked with Insurance Australia Group on a significant piece of research which was released at James Cook University’s Cyclone Testing Station in November.

The study looked at the impact of wind-driven water entry during cyclones.  This research adds weight to previous research into the key causes of cyclone damage and reinforces the need to increase the resilience of properties in the north – especially in relation to windows, doors and other building openings.

70% of cyclone-related claims involve water damage.  With only duct tape and thick heavy duty plastic film, you can protect your home and business from wind-driven rain.  Find out how Here.
