The head of engineering at James Cook University is optimistic that students are being shaped to fit demand in a rapidly changing technical environment.  The generation of data and big data sets, the use of low-cost sensors, among a host of others, and how that data is used in engineering decision-making.  These are key technology enablers and JCU works closely with all industry sectors to pre-empt the change in demand.
