The Department of Employment Small Business and Train, as the lead agency, established the Queensland Small Business Recovery Centre in Townsville in February 2019 with local partners including Townsville City Council, Townsville Chamber of Commerce and Townsville Enterprise Limited. The Centre provides a tailored and personal support service to small business owners affected by the 2019 Monsoon Event throughout North and North West Queensland.
The Chamber provides businesses with a forum to have their say on issues of concern and the collective clout of several hundred business people when taking these concerns to Council and Government. We represent the interests of members on Policy Taskforces that have a direct impact on the development of business in Caloundra.
