Being connected, being heard and being informed are the key reasons people become members of the Townsville Chamber of Commerce. This year has made physically connecting, and networking challenging, but social groups provide us with an important part of our identity, and more than that, they teach us a set of skills that help us to live our lives. Feeling socially connected, especially in an increasingly isolated world, is more important than ever.
This morning at our Chamber Coffee, it was great to see so many people connecting, laughing and learning about each other’s businesses. There is always a great mix of regulars and new people popping in each fortnight. There are only 4 Chamber Coffees left this year, so if you have gotten out of the habit of networking, jump back in! You never know your next client, supplier, supporter or staff member could be there! Our next one will be Thursday 29 October 8-9 am at Juliette’s.
We are grateful to be in a position to be hosting more events, and we are really looking forward to our Meet the Candidates Breakfast on Tuesday. In the lead up to each election, we host similar events to ensure that the business community has a chance to meet all of the candidates, their concerns are heard, and they are informed about who they are voting for.
Do you have a question you would like us to ask the candidates? Please email your questions to Ross [email protected] by tomorrow.
And don’t wait to book your spot this event will sell out.
