ROSS: Certainty for the 17th

19 November, 2021, Posted By TVL Chamber

We are continuing to liaise with all levels of the Queensland Government to reinforce the message that businesses can’t be used to police the current vaccination mandates.

We have also made it clear that moving the date will have an adverse effect on the hospitality industry with already strained staffing levels and prebooked Christmas functions.

We cannot make it any clearer that enforcing the vaccination mandate is not the responsibility of businesses, and the individual must take responsibility for their actions.

If an individual doesn’t wear a seatbelt, they are fined, not the car manufacturer.

If the government is going to introduce new mandates, they have to focus the policy and the policing on the individual, not businesses.

We will continue to seek clarity and advocate for the needs of our members on this issue.
