Standing on the Shoulders of Giants – Graham Jackson

17 July, 2020, Posted By tvlchamber

Standing on the shoulders of giants refers to learning from those who have gone before us to make progress and Graham is certainly a giant, who has been a mentor to many, and has made an immeasurable contribution to the development of our region.

Graham founded Loloma Jewellers in 1959 but he was recognised in 2002 for the prominent roles he played on more than a dozen social welfare, service, sport and health organisations by being awarded an Order of Australia.  Graham has gifted his time, money and wise counsel to a huge range of community focused organisations; as director and chairman of the Queensland Small Business Development Corporation, as director of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, as chairman and committee member of the Royal Queensland Bush Children’s Health Scheme, as chairman of Townsville Enterprise and between 1986-1987 as the President of the Townsville Chamber of Commerce.

Graham thank you, you have inspired so many people and as you ease yourself into retirement (your car has been spotted at your office today), we wish you all the best for a long and enjoyable retirement filled with everything you enjoy.

Have you checked if you are eligible?
