Last month, the Townsville Chamber kicked off our Chamber on Tap event series for 2022.
In 2021, the Chamber on Tap events were a sell out and this year they are back better than ever.
For our first event last month, General Manager of 106.3 Star FM and Power 100 Paul Woodhouse entertained the crowd with a presentation about how radio and digital marketing can work together.
Paul provided some fascinating data on how and when consumers act when prompted by radio. Spoiler alert, it is almost immediate.
As our digital devices are always within reach, it’s no wonder that over three quarters of radio listeners take action on ads they hear within 24 hours, Paul explained.
Don’t worry if you missed this event, Paul and I sat down in the studio to record a podcast to recap on his presentation.
You can listen to our podcast by searching Townsville ChamberCast on any of your favourite streaming services.
This years Chamber on Tap series will run on the last Thursday of each month, up until the end of October, and is held at the ever-popular TapHouse Townsville in City Lane.
Back by popular demand, this month’s event on the 30th of June sees James Cook University Marketing Lecturer Natasha Buttler make her return.
Following the conversation of consumer behaviour last year, Natasha will talk us through how to get your brand on a consumer’s shopping list.
In July, we will take a tour of the human psyche with Behavioural Economist Dr Daniel Grainger as you learn how to nudge your consumers into making the decision you want them to.
Now that you’ve nudged your consumer into making the decision you want them to, our August event will run you through how to scale up your business sustainably with Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship Management Dr Marcus Powe.
In September, JCU’s new MBA Director Damian Scanlon will help you figure out the best time to reinvest in your business and yourself, now that your business is a raging success.
To cap off the event series, Paul Woodhouse is back to teach you how to capitalise on your success by effectively targeting and engaging your audience through audio.
The Chamber on Tap event series is designed to provide vital information to those who own, or who are in business in a relaxed environment while enjoying some after work beverages, some food, and the opportunity to network and meet fellow businesspeople.
Tickets are available on our website; www.townsvillechamber.com.au/events.
We look forward to seeing you there!
