Nicole Dykstra - Assistant Commissioner of Early Intervention - Debt
Nicole Dykstra is currently Assistant Commissioner of Early Intervention – Debt at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). In this position, Nicole’s primary responsibility is to engage clients and employ a strategic early intervention approach to assist in educating clients and influencing their behaviour towards willing participation in the tax and superannuation systems.
Nicole began her career in the ATO as a graduate and has undertaken many varied roles including leading an organisational review to establish the ATO’s independent review function for large business and more recently providing strategic leadership of the ATO’s SuperStream initiative in close consultation with the Superannuation Industry.
Nicole is located in Townsville, Queensland and has a number of key responsibilities for the region – she is the site sponsor for the ATO’s Townsville office as well as Chair of the North Queensland Australian Government Leadership Network Committee (AGLN – NQ). The AGLN-NQ aims to support Australian Public Service (APS) leaders by providing forums for leadership development; exchanging innovative thinking, ideas, knowledge and experience; facilitating whole-of-government approaches to APS activities; and reducing the impact of geographical isolation from national offices.
