The Chamber's current constitution, known as the Rules, dates from 1985. Much has changed since then and the Rules, the principal guiding instrument for the Board and members, no longer reflects the vision of today's Chamber. We invite members to vote on a set of proposed Rules to guide the organisation forward. Changing the Rules is an important step in the Chamber's 136 years history. Check our Blog for copies of the current Rules, proposed Rules and FAQ's.

Since 1985, our organisation has evolved and the Rules, the principal guiding instrument for the Board and members, no longer reflects the vision of today’s Chamber.
For example, technology now plays a role on how the Chamber serves members. Also, we seek to strike a balance between Board succession and the need to maintain the deep corporate knowledge to serve members now and into the future.
We have looked to simplify the language of the proposed Rules to make them accessible and legibly, while maintaining the integrity of the document.
Join us in this important step for the Chamber.
